Bhubaneswar: Commerce and Transport minister Padmanabha Behera on Wednesday said that there will be no relaxation in the penalty amount collected from the people violating traffic rules in Odisha.
While some neighbouring states had relaxed traffic penalty amount, the Odisha government had no such proposal, he told mediapersons here.
Stating that the people in the state are gradually becoming aware of the traffic rules and guidelines, the Minister said that a meeting on road safety will be held on December 18 where the collection of penalty against traffic violation will be discussed. “The meeting will also discuss the faulty collection of the penalty,” he added.
