Bhubaneswar: Even as intense cold wave conditions continue to prevail in interior Odisha, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued a yellow warning for dense fog in seven districts.
The IMD, in an evening bulletin, said the night temperature remained below 10 degree Celsius at five places with Phulbani being the coldest place with 5.8 degree followed by Jharsuguda (7), Daringbadi (8), Keonjhar (9.9) and Sundargarh (8.5).
Less than 15 degree of night temperature was registered in Angul (11), Baripada (13.5), Sambalpur (10.8), Hirakud (11.5), Talcher (13), Balangir (10), Bhawanipatna (10.5), Koraput (11.6), Titlagarh (11.5), Sonepur (10.2), Nayagarh (14.3) and Boudh (12). Cuttack registered 15 degree.
Besides, the national weather agency also issued yellow warning of dense fog at one or two places in Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Boudh and Ganjam districts in next 24 hours.
