Bhubaneswar: Most places in Odisha registered a gradual fall in night temperature as an intense cold wave continued to sweep the state on Thursday.
In its morning bulletin, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre informed that 8.8°C in Phulbabni in Kandhamal district was the lowest night temperature recorded in the state till 5.30 am on Thursday. The temperature in Sonepur was 9°C.
Besides, the night temperature remained at 15°C or below at 15 places including Boudh (14.5), Daringbadi (10), Titlagarh (14.5), Koraput (13), Balangir (14), Bhawanipatna (10), Talcher (12.3), Hirakud (14.3), Sundargarh (14), Sambalpur (14.4), Keonjhar (13.2), Jharsuguda (12.8), Baripada (13.5), Angul (11) and Cuttack (14.5).
With no change in the weather condition, the cold wave in Odisha will continue for a week till December 9, the bulletin added.
