No RT-PCR Test On Arrival In India For Travellers From These 11 Countries

New Delhi: The screening process for international arrivals from countries with whom India has mutual recognition of vaccination certificates has been eased.

From October 25, travellers from France, the UK, Germany, Nepal, Belarus, Lebanon, Armenia, Ukraine, Belgium, Hungary and Serbia no longer have to undergo RT-PCR tests on arrival from October 25.

According to the fresh guidelines, those, who are fully vaccinated (at least 15 days before the day of travel), will be allowed to leave the airport and self-monitor their health for 14 days after arrival.

They, however, have to upload a negative RT-PCR test report and vaccination certificates on Air Suvidha portal before boarding, the Indian Express reported.

Those partially or not vaccinated have to undergo the COVID test at the airport of arrival and undergo home quarantine for seven days. A re-test will then be conducted after eight days and if the result is negative, they will have to self-monitor their health for the next seven days.

These measures are applicable for passengers from the remaining part of the world irrespective of their vaccination status.
