Dhenkanal: Family members of the two missing high school students are in a state of trauma with the police yet to trace them even after three days.
The two Class VIII students of BB High School, Ayushman Nayak of Kunjakanta area and Om Prakash Parida Gudianali area, had gone to the stadium near the bus stand at 6.30 am on January 5.
When they did not return home, the family members made a frantic search but in vain. Later, they lodged a complaint at the Town police station.
Acting on the complaint, police began search operation and found two bicycles parked in front of the stadium. After examining the footage of the CCTV inside the stadium, police found that the two students were present in the stadium till 7.05 am.
While the whereabouts of the two students is not yet known, police suspect that they may have been kidnapped.
While the Town Police have carried out an intensive search operation, the nearby police stations have been intimated about the incident.
