Rayagada: A no-confidence motion has been moved against Gunupur Notified Area Council (NAC) chairperson Kabita Sabar. A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting of 12 BJD councillors and Rayagada district collector on Monday.
Of the 16 BJD councillors, the no-trust motion was brought by 12 councillors of the ruling party.
Talking to mediapersons, Sabar said, “I don’t know anything about 12 councillors meeting the collector to move no-trust motion against me. I am in a state of shock. We have been working together like family members since long. I am completely unaware of the move as no one even informed me about it.”
