Noida: A housekeeping staffer at a private school in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl on the school premises.
A teacher and the school’s security supervisor were also arrested for not reporting the crime.
The accused, Nithyanand, a resident of Nithari village, was employed as a sweeper at the school. He allegedly took the girl to a secluded area of the school and sexually assaulted her.
The girl’s parents noticed unusual behaviour in their daughter after she returned from school and sought medical attention. Upon questioning, the girl disclosed the assault.
Following a complaint filed with the Sector 20 police station, Nithyanand was arrested on October 10. Further investigation revealed that the girl’s teacher and the school’s security supervisor were aware of the incident but failed to report it to authorities. They were subsequently arrested on charges of concealing a crime.
