None From Odisha Again In Congress’ 2nd List Of 43 Candidates For Lok Sabha Polls

New Delhi: The Congress seems to have adopted a ‘wait and watch’ strategy amid the BJD-BJP alliance talks in Odisha to be able to capitalise on the situation.

The party’e second list of 43 candidates released on Tuesday had no names from Odisha. It included Parliamentary constituencies in Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Daman Diu.

Among the key names in the list are Kamal Nath’s son Nakul who will fight from Madhya Pradesh’s Chhindwara, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s son Vaibhav Gehlot will fight from Rajasthan’s Jalore, Gaurav Gogoi from Assam’s Jorhat and new Congress entrant Rahul Kaswa from Rajasthan’s Charu.

Candidates List

The names were finalised on Monday in the CEC meeting, said Congress General Secretary VC Venugopal while releasing the candidates list.

Last week, the grand old party had released its first list of 39 candidates from eight states and one Union Territory for the upcoming polls.
