Bhubaneswar: Following the Special Relief Commissioner’s (SRC) direction to the districts affected by the nor’wester on Thursday to restore power supply, the TPCODL has mobilised its work force to restore normalcy.
The thunderstorm accompanied by gusty wind and heavy rainfall uprooted trees and broke the branches at many places in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Pipili, Puri and Athgarh in the afternoon. It also plunged several areas into darkness as high tension wires snapped causing disruption in power supply.
“TP Central Odisha Distribution Co Ltd (TPCODL) is actively responding to the impact of the devastating thunderstorm and mobilising its resources to swiftly restore the power supply infrastructure in Puri and parts of Bhubaneswar,” said a spokesman of the company.
“Our dedicated workforce is working tirelessly around the clock, leveraging available resources to restore normalcy and ensure the prompt reestablishment of power to all affected areas. We deeply appreciate the support of our customers during this challenging period,” he added.
