Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued nowcast warning for six districts of Odisha, including twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, till 5 pm.
Light to moderate thunderstorm with lightning accompanied by gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph and light to moderate rain likely to affect some parts of districts of Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi and Koraput within three hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places protect themselves from lightning strikes.
