The Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre has forecast thunderstorm and lightning activity with gusty wind at one or two places in 12 districts on Monday. Thunderstorm with lightning accompanied by gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph may occur in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, and Angul, according to the weather agency.

Earlier in the day, it had issued yellow warning of thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain for Baragarh, Jharsuguda, Sundergarah, Sambalpur, Deogarah, Angul, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts till 10.10 am.

On Sunday, many places recorded a drop in the day temperature by 2 to 4 degree.
