Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued a nowcast warning for 11 districts of Odisha, including twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, till past midnight.
Light to moderate thunderstorm/lightning accompanied by light to moderate rain and gusty wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph may occur in some parts of Angul, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Rayagada, Kandhamal, Ganjam and Gajapati districts during the next 2-3 hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
