New Delhi: Senior BJP leader and former Union Tribal Affairs minister Jual Oram on Friday said he was not surprised at being left out of the ministry.
Talking to mediapersons here, he said 303 party candidates had won the elections but only 40-50 among them can be ministers. Thus, some leaders will get a chance while others may not make the cut.
“I had the opportunity to become a Union minister in the previous ministry and some other leader will have the opportunity this time. This is the sign of a healthy democratic tradition,” Jual said.
The Sundargarh MP said he was a dedicated member of his party and does whatever the party asks him to do.
He expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for having given him the opportunity to serve as Tribal Affairs minister in his cabinet for five years.
