Bhubaneswar: Noted academician and writer Hirak Kumar Pramanik passed away here on Friday. He was 79.
Pramanik was as a lecturer at the Vikram Deb College in Jeypore, taught in Government College of Dhenkanal and served as the Principal of Baramba College.
He retired while serving at Samanta Chandra Sekhar Autonomous College in Puri.
He is survived by his wife Ellen, son, daughter and grandchildren.
