Cuttack: Noted Odia film producer and actor Surendra Khuntia passed away on Tuesday in Cuttack following a brief illness. He was 83.
Khuntia breathed his last at his residence at Surya Vihar in Link Road area of the city in the morning, family sources said.
A prominent personality in Odia film industry, Khuntia was known for his cinema ‘Dekh Khabar, Rakh Nazar’ and several other works. He had also acted in films in his long career.
A pall of gloom descended on the city as soon as the news of his demise spread. People from different spheres, including film industry, mourned his demise and many of his near and dear ones and admirers visited his house to pay their tributes to the departed soul.
