Cuttack: Noted Tabla Maestro and music director Radhakanta Nanda breathed his last at a private hospital here on Saturday. He was 63.
According to sources, Nanda was suffering from cancer and died while undergoing treatment. He was on ventilator since Friday.
He was famous as ‘Haribolo’ in the music industry of Odisha.
He had directed hundreds of Odia songs. He was also the music director of Rakesh Mohanty’s Odia movie ‘Dadagiri’.
He had been staying at Alisha Bazar in Cuttack.
He was active in Odia music industry since last 30 years. Recently, he was conferred with the Odisha Sangit Natak Akademi award.
He is survived by his wife, two sons and daughters-in-law.
