Balasore: Debendra Khatua, a noted painter from Balasore district, was run over by a speeding bus near Remuna Golai square here on Saturday.
According to reports, the accident happened when Debendra was going on his bike to Balasore town. Suddenly, a private bus named Raghunath, which was en route to Baripada, hit him. Debendra fell from his bike and came under the wheels of the bus.
He was taken to the district headquarters hospital (DHH) here, but succumbed on the way.
