Notification For Freehold In Cuttack’s CDA Area Soon, Says MLA

Cuttack: The official notification for converting the leasehold land under Cuttack Development Authority (CDA) would be issued soon, said MLA Sofia Firdous on Monday.

Speaking to media persons after a meeting with Cuttack tehsildar, the BJD legislator said she was informed by the former that most of the works for issuing the notification were complete. After all the procedures are over, the notification would be issued, she added.

She further said the state government had earlier approved the proposal for conversion of leasehold land to freehold in housing projects developed by the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) and CDA. While the BDA has already started the process, it would be implemented by the CDA soon, she added.

The conversion of land ownership has been planned to resolve different types of property disputes. Once it comes into effect, the residential owners and commercial establishments under the CDA jurisdiction are expected to benefit.
