Bhubaneswar: The Cuttack Commissionerate of Police has served a six-month externment (tadipaar) order on notorious history-sheeter Usman Khan.
According to sources, the gangster has been asked to depose before police to present his case on the notice issued under the Orissa Urban Police Act, on a specific date. Following this, an official order will be issued specifying the areas which he cannot enter during a specified period.
Over two dozen criminal cases against are pending against Usman, who is the nephew of criminal Baba Khan, at different police stations in the twin cities and he has been on the run since long.
He is also Congress Ward 23 committee chairperson.
