London: A COVID-19 vaccine named Carnivac-Cov, has been developed by Russia’s Rosselkhoznadzor, the country’s agriculture safety watchdog.
It is claimed to be the first such vaccine for animals and offers immunity for six months at least.
A report by Reuters says that Russian scientists believe that this vaccine would prevent mutations of the virus.
The clinical trials of the vaccine were started in October, 2020. It is being tested on dogs, cats, Arctic foxes, minks, foxes and other animals.
