Now, Maoists In Odisha Jump On ‘Justice For Mamita Meher’ Bandwagon

Rayagada: While Opposition Congress and BJP have turned the heat on the Odisha government over Mamita Meher’s ‘brutal murder’, suspected Maoist posters, demanding Rs 50 lakh compensation for the bereaved family, surfaced near Kumudabali Shiv temple under Muniguda police limits of Rayagada district on Tuesday.

In the five posters released in the name of Baghuna divisional committee, the members of the outlawed outfit have also demanded a job for a family member of Mamita and strict action against government officials, politicians, and police.

They have also demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
