Bengaluru: Social media network LinkedIn, which has has seen a 20x rise in registrations in India this year, has launched a new feature called ‘Stories’ in the country.
Members can publish photos and videos up to 20 seconds long on Stories. Similar to other social media platforms, Stories will disappear in 24 hours.
Along with India, the feature is also available in US, Canada, France, Australia, Brazil, Netherlands and UAE.
Ashutosh Gupta, country manager, LinkedIn India, said, ”In a virtually connected world, ‘Stories’ are the virtual water coolers, where members can share their everyday professional moments in a creative and authentic way, and find a new way to stay connected with their networks. Along with the launch of Stories, we have also introduced a host of platform enhancements that offer an inclusive and enjoyable LinkedIn experience. The new look and feel of LinkedIn showcases our commitment to creating an engaging, supportive, diverse, and respectful community, which is at the heart of everything we do at LinkedIn.”
After localised stickers, its messaging service now offers video meeting integration with Microsoft Teams, Bluejeans by Verizon, or Zoom.
