Patna: Strange mishaps are becoming commonplace in Bihar.
Two days after a scrapped plane on a truck got stuck under under East Champaran’s Motihari while being transported from Lucknow to Assam, a truck carrying a train coach crashed near Bhagalpur railway station in Bihar on Sunday, resulting in massive traffic congestion.
The incident occurred near Lohiya Bridge, close to the station, reported PTI. Thankfully, no one was injured.
“The incident took place when the truck carrying the coach lost control and hit one of the railings of Lohiya Bridge,” police said.
Vikas Choubey, DRM (Malda Division), said it was a case of road accident.
“A restaurant is being opened in the railway complex near the station. The agency responsible for opening the eatery was in the process of shifting the coach. Essentially, it was a case of a road accident,” said Choubey.
Soon after the accident, hundreds of people came to the spot to witness the rare scene.
Police had a tough time in clearing the huge jams on that road and adjoining roads.
