Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange warning with forecast of intense spells of rainfall in Odisha’s 6 districts in next 3 hours.
In its nowcast warning, the IMD said light to moderate rain/thundershower is likely with one or two intense/heavy spells in some parts of Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts within 3 hours of 7.15 pm on Saturday.
The MeT office has warned about waterlogging in low-lying areas, occasionally poor visibility and traffic disruption in urban areas.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and avoid movement in affected areas. They should also make arrangement for drainage of excess water, it added.
