Berhampur: 5T Chairman VK Pandian on Tuesday advised the students of Odisha’s Ganjam district to set big goals in the life and strive hard for achieving those.
On a visit to the district, Pandian participated in Nua-O programme organised at Vivek Vihar in Ambapua. More than 15,000 students from degree colleges and higher secondary schools of the district had turned up for the programme.
During interaction with the students, he discussed the Nua-O programme which provides a platform for youngsters to showcase their talent and improve overall personality development besides helping in academic achievements.
“All parents dream big for their children and want them to be successful in their life. If you want to please your parents, respect their feelings. You have work hard to achieve their aspirations and have your satisfaction,” he said.
He also advised the students to keep themselves away from social media and instead, concentrate on study and career. “Meditation would help you achieve this and physical fitness through regular exercise would nurture your mind,” he said.
Playback singer Antara Chakravorty, Odia cine stars Babusan and Papu Pam Pam and others accompanied Pandian during the visit.
Some BJP leaders including district vice-president Ganjam Ram Kumar Patra, K Ravi Rao and Akhila Sahu, who opposed the visit of the 5T chairman by raising slogans like “Pandian go back” near BeDA office in Berhampur, were detained by police.
