Bhubaneswar: Obtaining fire safety certificates and recommendations will no longer be a hassle for applicants as the Odisha government on Tuesday decentralised the whole process. Field-level officials will now issue these certificates expeditiously after following procedural formalities. This means that people will not have to travel all the way to the Directorate of Fire Services from far off areas to get their certificates.
They will be issued within 18 days of the receipt of the application. This move of the government will bring about a radical improvement in the whole process. It will also be covered under ‘Mo Sarkar’ from January 1, 2020, to take random citizen feedback on service delivery.
Apart from this, the state government has decided to further simplify the procedure by making it online from April 1, 2020 as part of the 5 Ts charter of governance, said an official release.
The move of the state government will meet hassle-free service delivery under the 5T initiatives of governance.
The new reforms will ensure that the applicants need not come to the Directorate of Fire Services from far off areas to obtain the fire safety recommendations and Fire Safety certificates.
The fire safety certificates will be issued within the 18 days of receipt of application. This move of the Government will bring about a radical improvement in the process of obtaining fire safety certificates.
The whole process will also be covered under ‘Mo Sarkar’ from January 1, 2020, to take random citizen feedback on service delivery.
