Bhubaneswar: A crucial meeting of Odisha Cricket Academy (OCA) managing committee was held on Saturday.
The meeting was convened in the wake of the recent Supreme Court directive to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to implement the recommendations of Justice R M Lodha Committee.
“The elections to the post of various office-bearers will be conducted in the last week of October or the first week of November. The meeting discussed what steps to be taken for proper implementation of the recommendations after getting information regarding the same by the BCCI,” said OCA managing committee chairman Dhiren Palai.
According to Lodha panel recommendations, office bearers who have completed nine years in state cricket association and are above 70 years of age cannot contest for another term.
