Bhubaneswar: In a bid to create a culture of entrepreneurship and re-establish Odisha as a global enterprise hub, the Odisha Corporate Foundation (OCF), a non-profit organisation, has decided to institute an award named ‘Anantya’ to honour women entrepreneurs of Odisha origin.
Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, the founder-president of OCF, Hrushikesh Behera said the OCF Women Entrepreneurship Awards 2021 will be presented in Bhubaneswar on April 24. A jury, comprising professionals and entrepreneurs of global eminence, will select the nominees for the award.
OCF secretary Guru Prasad Choudhury said OCF is working on building a community-based global network in the web and planning to launch it in 2022. “This will create connectivity for entrepreneurs from all districts of Odisha, states and Union territories in India with the global fraternity,” he said.
The OCF, dedicated to social service prioritising development of Odisha, was registered in 2019 by involving eminent industry veterans and experts from diverse industries and geographies to bring entrepreneurs and industry professionals of Odisha origin.
It has set up 13 chapters in India and one abroad and been undertaking activities to promote social, economic and educational development of the state.
