Bhubaneswar: An octogenarian patient of COVID-19, who also had comorbidities, recovered from the disease after treatment at SUM COVID Hospital, here within a week.
According to hospital sources, 87-year-old Krupasindhu Sahu, president of the city’s Senior Citizens’ Association, had breathing problem and tested positive for COVID-19 after his admission in the hospital in a serious condition. He was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Following treatment for week, he recovered from the disease.
Since Sahu had comorbidities, he was shifted to the SUM Ultimate Medicare to be treated for other underlying conditions and was discharged from the hospital within a few days.
“The manner in which the doctors, nurses and other staff took care of me, both at the SUM COVID Hospital and SUM Ultimate Medicare, to help me recover, is praiseworthy. They nursed me back to health,” said Sahu appreciating efforts of the hospital staff.
