New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Odia actress Archita Sahu received the Amrish Puri Award for Excellence in the field of art and culture in New Delhi, recently.
She is the first Odia to have been conferred with this prestigious award.
The award giving ceremony was held on August 25.
Archita has played lead roles in several Odia movies like ‘Champion’, ‘Babu I Love You’, ‘Mu Eka Tumara’, ‘Chocolate’ and ‘Akashe Ki Ranga Lagila’.
Besides, she has achieved great success as a model. She was the first runners up in Pond’s Femina Miss India Kolkata in 2013 and won Lakme Absolute Femina Miss Eyeconic Eyes. She also won Miss Talented and Miss Stylish Hair titles in the finale.
This was the 22nd edition of felicitation by NGO Allay Club, the proceeds of which are used in the welfare of HIV victims.
