Bhubaneswar: Adman Dayanidhi Dahima is making a foray into the world of filmmaking by producing a short film starring Radhika Madan, Vikrant Massey and Aditi Rao Hyadri. The film will be directed by Mansi Jain. Odisha-based Dayanidhi is well known in Bhubaneswar for his advertisements.
“We have spoken to Netflix, Amazon Prime, Largest Short Films, Alt Balaji, and Viacom18 with respect to the movie. Netflix will also soon have short films, so we are taking our time to see what platform works best,” he said.
“Mansi Jain is popular for having directed short films like Chutney, starring Tisca Chopra, and Chhuri, starring Anurag Kashyap. They have garnered millions of views and she is one of the best in this business,” he added.
The film will be shot in Dehradun, he said. “This is my first film and it is a suspense-thriller. I plan to make ten movies in a year after this. I especially want to include technicians from Odisha in my movies post this. I belong to Odisha and I know the talent here, which definitely needs a good exposure and platform,” he expressed.
Dayanidhi has been connected to Bollywood since a long time but decided to make a movie only now. “I completed my education at FTII, Pune, and I was in no hurry. I took my time, step by step. I would like to convey how kind and supportive Odisha has been, for which, I am forever grateful to the people here,” he said.
He wishes to contribute and give back in every possible way.
For him, learning and perfecting the art is first and foremost and maintaining a balance is also important. “I will do a good job only when I have learnt the process,” he further said. Next on his list, is his untitled web series.
