Odia boy Amrit Kashyap is on cloud nine after winning the runners up title of the adventure reality show Expedition Season 1, telecast on Zee Zing channel. The finale of the show was telecast on Saturday.
“The show was about discovering real India by road. Twelve contestants including six boys and six girls explored the interiors of India on a bike. The objective of the mission was to discover rural India and adapting its way of life. Though the journey was tough, it made me turn my weaknesses into strength,” said the Rourkela model turned actor.
An engineering graduate from ITER, Bhubaneswar, Kashyap has always been fascinated with reality shows. He was a state-level player in kho-kho and swimming. “I have earlier tried for Roadies, Big Boss and some other reality shows. After being rejected in six auditions, finally I cracked the adventurous reality show, Expedition. I feel reality shows bring one to limelight. It is easier to get noticed,” said the aspiring actor. He has acted in one episode of the popular television serial ‘CID’. Kashyap is also an alumni of Whistling Woods International, Mumbai, Subhash Ghai’s Film Institute.
