Odia Comedian Guddu’s Mother Dies In Train Mishap

Jajpur: Odia comedian Guddu’s mother Geetanjali reportedly died in a train accident at Jakhapura railway station in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Wednesday.

According to sources, the mishap took place when Geetanjali was on her way to Keonjhar with her daughter in Khurda-Keonjhar Intercity Express.

For some reason, she alighted at Jakhapura station and slipped while boarding the train again. She fell down on the tracks and sustained critical injuries.

Geetanjali was admitted to the nearest hospital at Danagadi in critical condition. However, doctors declared her dead.

Notably, Geetanjali and her daughter were going to Keonjhar for Guddu’s reception.

Comedian Sawan Suman Naik, popularly known as Guddu in Odia filmdom, tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Priyanka recently.

Geetanjali was popular in the city as a makeup artist.
