Bhubaneswar: Director Dilip Patnaik breathed his last late on Saturday.
He died in a private hospital here after prolonged illness, sources said.
He had directed Nilamadhaba, a National Film Award-winning documentary film about Indian classical singer of Gwalior gharana from Odisha, Sunanda Patnaik. It won the ‘Best Biographical documentary’ for 2010 at the 58th National Film Awards in India. The film was produced by Films Division.
A product of Film and Television Institute of India, he had planned to direct a feature film ‘Chandragrahana’ which could not see the light of the day.
