New Delhi: Dr A K Bisoyi, one of the senior-most cardiac surgeons of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, and a native of Odisha, headed the team that conducted a planned bypass procedure on President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday morning.
He was shifted to the ICU after the surgery and his condition is stable, sources said.
The President was admitted to the Army (Research and Referral) Hospital on Friday after he complained of chest discomfort. He was shifted to AIIMS in the afternoon on 27 March.
