New Delhi: A doctor from Odisha working at Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital was found hanging in his rented flat here on Monday.
He was identified as Sidharth Shankar Mohapatra (26), a native of Puri district.
According to reports, one of his flatmates found him hanging from a ceiling fan at their accommodation in Old Rajendra Nagar and informed police. A handwritten letter suspected to be a suicide note was recovered from the spot. It read: “I hate the life of a prisoner. I want to be free. I want to get out of delusion.”
Sidharth was working as NSC (Anaesthesia) and was staying along with two other RML doctors at the flat, police sources said. He is suspected to have taken the extreme step the previous night, when both his flatmates were away. One of them had gone to Jharkhand while the other was on night duty, the sources added.
