Bhubaneswar: Fully prepared and confident, Odia girl Padmalaya Nanda is all set for Little Miss Universe contest to be held in Georgia in Europe from May 31 to June 6. She will also represent India at ‘Little Miss World’ to be held in Greece in September.
“I am confident and well prepared for the event. By winning the crown I want to make my state proud. For this, I need everyone’s blessings and support,” Nanda told Odishabytes.com. Incidentally, she is leading the online voting among 16 contestants from countries like Bulgaria, Georgia, Kenya and Thailand.
Results of the beauty pageant are based on performances in different rounds as well as online voting. Nanda has scored 69 per cent vote from Europe while 15 per cent from India and 5 per cent from Odisha. Before leaving for Georgia, she met Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik and Governor S C Jamir. “In different rounds, we will be judged according to our talents, personalities, costumes and a small representation about our respective countries. Apart from that a ‘royal ethno party’ will be held where we will exhibit the costumes and style of respective countries,” she added.
