Bhubaneswar: Odia girl Manisha Khuntia has secured third position among 15 successful candidates in the Indian Economic Service (IES) examination, results of which were declared on Saturday.
Manish, a resident of Sector 3 in Rourkela, had studied at Mount Carmel Convent School and ISPAT English Medium School in the Steel City and later pursued higher studies in Economics at JNU, New Delhi, after completing her graduation from Indraprastha College for Women of Delhi University (DU).
Speaking to a TV channel, Manisha’s father Bijay Kumar Khuntia, who is a Deputy General Manager (DGM) at RSP, said, “She had worked really hard to crack the exam. she, however, wants to become an IAS officer and this success will motivate her more.”
As many as 40 candidates were intimated to appear for the interview through e-summon letter in IES exam-2017.
