Bhubaneswar: IMFA Managing Director Subhrakant Panda has been elected Vice-President of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).
The National Executive Committee of FICCI met on Monday at Delhi where Uday Shankar took over as President from Dr Sangita Reddy, while Sanjiv Mehta was elected Senior Vice-President.
Panda is the first Odia industrialist to hold a national leadership position in FICCI, which is the largest and apex business organization in India.
Panda, the first Chairman of FICCI’s Odisha Chapter, also held other important positions like Chairman of FICCI National Manufacturing Committee.
He was also president of Paris-based International Chromium Development Association (ICDA ) and International Chamber of Commerce (India Chapter).
