Bhubaneswar: Two weightlifters of Odisha brought laurels to the state by bagging 2 gold and 1 silver medals in the men’s weightlifting category at the IWLF Junior & Senior National Weightlifting, 2021-2022, here on Thursday.
Kuldeep Sahu bagged gold in Youth 73 kg category while Mihir Kanta Sethi bagged silver in Senior Men 73 Kg and gold in Inter-State Senior Men-73 kg at the event.
The event is being held at Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium at KIIT Deemed to be University here.
Earlier, Odisha’s Jhili Dalabehera lifted bronze in the 49 KG Senior category, women at the Nationals.
The National Weightlifting Championships for all categories began on March 19 in which 900 athletes, support staff and technical officials from 30 states and Union Territories are participating. The championships will conclude on March 31.
