Bhubaneswar: The mortal remains of Odia mountaineer Kalpana Dash, which were scheduled to arrive in Bhubaneswar from Delhi on Saturday night, will arrive at 7 am on Sunday.
In a release, state Sports and Youth Services Department said as the flight carrying Kalpana’s moral remains to Delhi was late, the connecting flight to Bhubaneswar was missed.
The mountaineer’s mortal remains will now be brought in a Delhi-Bhubaneswar Air India flight on Sunday. They will be taken to Kalinga Stadium and kept for an hour from 9.45 am to 10.45 am near Sky Walk 5, where people can pay their last respect to the departed soul.
From there, the mortal remains will be taken to her native place of Kumbhar Sahi in Kanchan Bazar of Dhenkanal town.
Family sources said that the cremation will be held at the Swarga Dwara in Puri later in the day.
