‘Odia Pua’ Dharmendra Pradhan Shines In BJP’s UP Poll Win; Check Twitter Posts

Bhubaneswar: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, a native of Odisha, was BJP’s top man for Uttar Pradesh elections and if the trends are anything to go by, he has proved his mettle as the election in-charge for the crucial state and also his bosses right on picking him to lead the pack of seven co-in-charges.

In the latest trends, the saffron party was ahead in 252 seats, comfortably over the halfway mark. The BJP’s vote share has also increased by 3 per cent with 42.3 per cent in 2022 against 39.7 per cent.

While the victory, overcoming several factors including anti-incumbency, is largely attributed to the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ‘Odia pua’ Dharmendra is also trending on Twitter and being touted as one of the four pillars of the party.

 

The BJP leader is winning accolades as it is for the first time in UP’s history that a party has retained power for the second time in a row. His preeminent position in Odisha BJP is again firmly established.
