Puri: Odisha’s international sand artist Sudam Pradhan has created a sand art depicting the logo of World Expo 2020 Dubai at Puri sea beach.
The dimension of Sudam’s eye-catching creation is 100 ft by 100 ft.
“Dr Chandra Sekhar Khuntia from Odia Society UAE motivated me to do this sand art on Expo 2020 Dubai which unites the whole world on one platform,” said Sudam.
It’s his way of saluting the UAE government for organizing the world’s largest Expo, where 192 countries are participating. It got underway on October 1 and will go on till March 31, 2022.
The Expo was originally scheduled to be held from October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2021, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Besides local people, thousands visit the annual Expo from all over the world.
India has a strong presence at the Expo, with 15 states and nine Central ministries participating in the six-month extravaganza.
The India Pavilion was inaugurated by Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal.
