Bhubaneswar: Three persons, including two Class I students, died after a speeding truck hit a two-wheeler near DAV school under Joda police limits in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Monday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Santosh Sharma, his son Ganesh and his neighbour’s son Nikit Ghosal, all residents of Azad Basti in Joda area.
According to sources, the accident took place at around 7 am when Santosh was on his way on a motorcycle to drop the two children at the school. The trio died on the spot.
Meanwhile, vehicular movement on the route has come to a standstill with irate locals staging a road blockade demanding immediate action and adequate compensation. Police have reached the spot and trying to pacify them.
