Malkangiri: A four-month-old baby girl died and her parents were critically injured after the wall of their house caved in following thundershower at Metaguda village under Padia block of Odisha’s Malkangiri district late on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Swati while the critically wounded are Aita Madkami and his wife.
According to sources, the couple along with the baby was sleeping when a part of the wall collapsed Local residents said the baby died on the spot while the couple was rescued in critical condition and were rushed to Padia community health centre.
Meanwhile, Padia BDO Ramakrushna Nayak visited the spot and took stock of the situation. He said that assistance would be provided to the bereaved family.
