Jagatsinghpur: An advanced oxygen plant and machinery has been installed at District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Jagatsinghpur by JSW Steel.

The 400 LPM (liters per minute) of oxygen plant with a capacity to cater to 12 beds in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital has been set up at an investment of Rs 42 lakh under its Corporate Social Responsibility. The facility will also be available for other high dependence units from Paediatrics department.
This is the second Oxygen plant in the facility. Considering high oxygen demand during the outbreak, the Centre had already established 1,000-liter oxygen plant at Jagatsinghpur DHH, which is connected to 56 beds of Medicine department.
“We are currently conducting thorough need assessment to identify critical needs areas at the plant site and trying our best to address them,” said Prasanta Biswal, Head Odisha CSR, JSW Foundation.
Chakradhar Jena, District Programme Manager (DPM) Jagatsinghpur, National Health Mission said the outpatient load of the facility on an average is about 700 per day and the existing 190 beds for inpatient care are filled to the strength.
