Bhubaneswar: Secretary to Chief Minister (Transformation and Initiatives) 5T, VK Pandian visited COVID-19 hospitals in Jharsuguda and Sundargarh districts as well as reviewed the two districts’ preparedness in fighting the deadly virus on Friday.
Pandian was accompanied by the Development Commissioner cum-Additional Chief Secretary (Planning & Convergence Department) Suresh Chandra Mohapatra and other senior officials.
Pandian and his team visited the COVID-19 hospitals at old DHH in Jharsuguda district and NTPC Medical College in Sundargarh district. He also interacted with the Jarsuguda Collector and discussed the steps taken by the district administration.
The 5T Secretary has been making field visits to various COVID-19 hospitals across the state to monitor the implementation of the instructions given by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Notably, the Chief Minister has directed to set up Odisha COVID-19 Hospitals in every district by next week with a plan to set up 36 hospitals with a combined bed capacity of 6,000.
