Khurda: Secretary to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik (5T) VK Pandian visited two important Shakti shrines of the state – Maa Bhagabati Temple in Banapur and Maa Ugratara Temple in Tangi block of Odisha’s Khurda district early on Monday.
According to sources, he reviewed the amenities like yajna mandap, sanctum sanctorum, ‘rosa sala’, rest sheds, dining hall, proposed Kalyan mandap, and toilet complex, and spoke to the priests, Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) members, villagers as well as the officers for holistic development of the shrines.
Thereafter, Pandian directed Khurda Collector Sudarshan Chakravarthy to prepare a master plan for the development of both sites. The plan will be proposed before the Chief Minister for final approval.
