Bhubaneswar: Secretary to Chief Minister (5T) VK Pandian on Monday visited Sikhar Chandi Temple, Pathar Gadia, near Patia in Bhubaneswar and reviewed the development of the shrine and its periphery, including amenities for tourists, pilgrims and beautification of Sikharchandi Hill region.
The overall plan being developed by Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) will enhance the recreational facilities and amusement for the visitors, sources said.
The 5T Secretary instructed officials to make nature-aligned infrastructure, adventure sports, tracking and viewpoint development in the Hill and plan for community infrastructure development on the foothills plain area of Idco.
Secretary 5T later visited the sites of the Town Planning scheme undertaken by BDA near Gothapatna and reviewed the project along with the development of the Ring Road. Of 45 projects planned under the scheme, the BDA has completed four along with the Ring Road.
Pandian instructed officials to make speedy progress on road, water, electricity infrastructure and other related development works. He also directed them to take feedback from the landowners.
Principal Secretary, RD Department, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Sports & Youth Services Department and Special Secretary CMO, R Vineel Krishna, Vice-Chairman, BDA, Balwant Singh, BMC Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange, Khurda Collector K Sudarshan Chakravarthy, among others, were present.
