Bhubaneswar: Bhuban in Dhenkanal district received highest amount of rainfall of 64 mm in the state during the last 24 hours.
According to a release of the reginal centre of India Meteorological Centre, here, almost entire state received the rainfall between 8.30 am of January 13 and 8.30 am of January 14.
Besides Bhuban, the places which received chief amount of rainfall included Nuagada (57.8 mm) and R. Udaygiri (53) in Gajapati district, Mathili (43) in Malkangiri, Lamataput (36.4) and Jeypore (29.4) in Koraput and Parlakhemundi (25 mm) in Gajapati district.
The Met office has forecast that rainfall will continue in different [arts of the state on Friday. Moderate rain/thundershower and lightning in some parts of Angul, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kendrapada, Jatgatsinghpur, Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Khurda (Bhubaneswar), Nayagarh and Mayurbhanj are likely, it stated.
